JADE WARRIOR Jade Warrior (Very rare original 1971 1st pressingrStereo UK 10-track LP on the Vertigo ‘swirl’ label with etchedr’VO6360033 1Y/2Y’ matrices, matt gatefold picture sleeve with ‘SpiralrSwirl’ inner. The sleeve has light ringwear with a sticker mark to thertop corner and no splits or tears leaving it VG. There is an addressrlabel to the inside of the sleeve and on the B-Side label, whilst thervinyl has light scuffs and hairlines; playback reveals just moderaterambient noise in the quieter passages, again leaving it VG – a nicercopy of this sought-after release)

rJade Warrior were an unusual blend based around the eclectic British duo of Tony Duhig and Jon Field, combining elements of rock and classical music with Japanese motifs, using flutes and native percussion as instrumentation. A classic truly ‘progressive’ album with a very imaginative blend of rock influences and Japanese musical sounds, ranging from quiet passages built around guitar, flute and percussion, to full rock workouts, powered by electric guitars and drums.
